What SwingWatch is

SwingWatch is a mood-tracking application that helps people with mood disorders (bipolar disorder, cyclothymia, and related conditions) log daily check-ins, track medications, and identify patterns in their mood over time. It is a self-management tool built to support — not replace — professional care.

What SwingWatch is NOT

• Not a medical device. SwingWatch is not cleared or approved by any regulatory authority (FDA, CE, etc.) as a medical device.
• Not a substitute for professional care. Nothing in SwingWatch constitutes medical advice. Your psychiatrist, therapist, or GP should make treatment decisions, not an app.
• Not for crisis situations. If you are in crisis, please contact a crisis line (988 in the US, 116 123 in the UK) or go to your nearest emergency department. SwingWatch has no crisis intervention capability.
• Not guaranteed to be accurate. Risk scores are mathematical models based on your self-reported data. They can be wrong. Do not make medication or treatment decisions based on SwingWatch scores alone.

Access and eligibility

SwingWatch is currently invite-only and requires admin approval to access. By using SwingWatch you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.

Your data is yours

You own your data. We do not claim any rights over your mood logs, medication records, or any other data you enter. You can export all of it at any time, and you can delete it all at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the service
• Use SwingWatch to harm yourself or others
• Share your account credentials
• Use automated tools to abuse the service (bots, scrapers, denial-of-service)

Service availability

SwingWatch is provided "as is" with no uptime guarantee. It is a personal project, not a commercial service. We will do our best to keep it available but cannot commit to SLAs. Always export your data regularly so you have a personal backup.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SwingWatch and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including decisions you make based on mood or risk data shown in the app.

No warranty

SwingWatch is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Risk scores, patterns, and alerts are informational only. We make no guarantee that they are accurate, complete, or medically appropriate for your situation.

Changes to the service

We may modify or discontinue SwingWatch at any time. If we shut down the service, we will give at least 30 days' notice (by email) so you have time to export your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use after the effective date of changes means you accept the new terms.
